Card Grading Submission – Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
This Agreement is made between Morrison Trading Post (“Company”) and the individual submitting trading cards for grading (“Customer”). By submitting cards to the Company for grading with TAG, the Customer agrees to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
2. Submission of Cards
The Customer agrees to provide accurate details for each card submitted, including:
- Card Year, Set, Card Number, Player, and any Parallel/Insert/Variation information
- Declared Value in CAD (for insurance purposes)
These details may be listed on an attached sheet. The Company will facilitate the collection and grouping of cards for submission to TAG.
3. Insurance and Declared Value
If a total grading order’s declared value exceeds $1,000 CAD, additional insurance may be required for shipping to TAG, and the order may be subject to extra taxes.
The declared value must reflect fair market comparables for raw cards. Inaccurate declarations may void insurance coverage. All cards are insured for their declared value while in the Company’s possession and during transit to and from TAG.
4. Company Facilitation
Upon receipt of the Customer’s cards, the Company will:
- Check that each card’s details and declared values are provided
- Group cards into the next scheduled submission batch
- Complete any required paperwork or digital forms on behalf of the Customer
- Upload the Customer’s contact information and submission details into TAG’s Order Management System (OMS)
Once uploaded, TAG will create an account for the Customer, enabling them to log in and monitor the status of their submissions (e.g., PENDING RECEIPT, RECEIVED, ORDER PREP, IMAGE PROCESSING, VERIFICATION, SLAB ASSEMBLY, QA, SLAB IMAGING, ORDER COMPLETE, SHIPPED).
5. Limitations of Liability
The Customer acknowledges that the Company is not responsible for:
- Damage, loss, or misgrading of cards while in transit to or from TAG
- Errors or omissions by TAG during the grading process
The Customer agrees to hold the Company harmless for any issues arising from the submission process, including lost, damaged, or misgraded cards.
6. Fees and Payment
The Customer agrees to pay all applicable grading fees as set by the Company:
- In-Store Orders: Cash, debit, credit (Visa, Mastercard), or e-transfer.
- Mailed-In Orders: Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, or Shop Pay.
Grading fees are $25 CAD per card. Payment is due at the time of in-store submission or must be received before the mailed-in cards are forwarded to the Company. Any return shipping costs (if the Customer requests shipping back) will be charged in addition to the grading fees.
7. Return of Graded Cards
After grading is complete, cards will be shipped back from TAG to the Company. TAG insures the service cost as the declared value, but packages from TAG do not include additional insurance. The Company will notify the Customer when their submission is ready:
- If the Customer selected in-store pickup, they will receive a notification when cards are available for pickup.
- If the Customer selected shipping, they will receive tracking information for the return shipment.
Graded cards must be picked up or claimed within 14 days of the initial notification. A 5% late fee will be applied to any outstanding invoice after 14 days.
8. Additional Fees
Due to ongoing tariffs and unforeseen taxes on certain items, returned cards may incur additional fees based on charges applied during the return shipment process. The Company will pass along any extra shipping or tariff fees to the Customer.

10. Governing Law
